Tropical Cyclones and Heavy Persistent Rain Arrangements<\/strong><\/p>

When tropical cyclones affect Hong Kong, the following general arrangements will apply and EDB will make appropriate public announcements accordingly.<\/p>

Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal<\/strong><\/p><\/td>

Corresponding Measures<\/strong><\/p><\/td><\/tr>

Signal No.1 is issued<\/p><\/td>

All schools including kindergartens, are to operate as usual.<\/p><\/td><\/tr>

Signal No.3 is issued<\/p><\/td>

Classes of all kindergartens are to be suspended.<\/p><\/td><\/tr>

Signal No.8 or above is issued<\/p><\/td>

Classes of all kindergartens are to be suspended.<\/p><\/td><\/tr>

When Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.3 is replaced by Signal No.1 or when all tropical cyclone signals are cancelled.<\/p><\/td>

Please be aware of the updated arrangement by EDB through social media.<\/p><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>

All schools including kindergartens, are to operate as usual unless advised otherwise.<\/p><\/td><\/tr>

Red or Black Rainstorm<\/p><\/td>

Classes are to be suspended.<\/p>

Students who have not left for school should stay home.<\/p><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>

If red \/ black rainstorm or Typhoon No. 3 or above Warning Signal is raised when the session is in operation, children may stay at kindergarten.
